Trip Report: Sean Martin in Vietnam!

Good Morning Vietnammmmm! Last November I had the pleasure of Speed Touring on Road Bikes from Saigon to Hanoi along the coast of Vietnam along with my dude Kevin. To say it was an eye-opening experience is not enough to do it justice. The heat, the food, the roads, the people and views were all spectacular and amazing in their own ways. After riding 1448 Km in 10 days (we had rest days here & there) and being “in country” for a couple of weeks, I have to say Vietnam is my favorite place to ride a bike, and the ease of getting my bike there in my Transfer Case made it that much more enjoyable. I was able to travel super light due to the tour (I carried my handlebar bag & seatpost bag packed for riding on to the plane, fit my helmet/ shoes/ small extras in the Transfer case with the bike of course). It was the first time I have shipped my case ahead to the tour end (shout out to Marc [ed: Founder of Post] with the shipping assistance, he makes sick ass bags and helps friends, what a guy!) and breaking the Transfer Case down to a packable size (fit inside Kevin’s much larger case) made shipping it very easy. First A to B Tour where I haven’t been panicking trying to find a cardboard bike box hours before going to the airport, such a relief! I can’t wait to head back to South East Asia later this year, to ride & eat my face off!!!
